Dashboard

The dashboard is where servers are managed from. Pools, key imports and exports, bans, roles, and channels all live there, with more room than a Discord message can give you.

Signing in

  1. Open the dashboard

Go to the dashboard. If you are not signed in you are sent to the sign-in page.

  2. Continue with Discord

There is no password and no separate account. Discord is the only way in.

  3. Approve the permissions

Discord asks you to share your account details and your list of servers. The server list is what tells the dashboard which servers you are allowed to manage.

A session lasts a week, so you will not be asked to sign in again every visit. Signing out ends it immediately.

Why the dashboard needs your server listYour permission on each server comes straight from Discord, alongside the server list. That means the dashboard can work out what you may manage without the bot having to be asked, and without anyone maintaining a separate list of admins.

Who can manage a server

You can manage a server in the dashboard when both of these are true:

  • You have the Manage Server permission there. Server owners and anyone with Administrator qualify automatically.
  • KeyBot is in that server. There is nothing to manage otherwise.

Everyone else can still sign in. They simply do not get a server view, only their own keys. The KeyBot developers can reach every server the bot is in, for support.

Just been given Manage Server?Your server list is cached for about a minute to stay within Discord's rate limits. If a permission change or a fresh bot invite has not shown up yet, wait a moment and reload.

The server picker

/dashboard lists every server you can manage. Pick one and you land on its overview, which shows the totals at a glance, how many pools and keys the server has, how many keys have been claimed and what share of the stock that is, and how many bans are in place, followed by a card for each pool with the keys remaining.

If the list is empty, you either do not have Manage Server anywhere KeyBot is installed, or the bot has not been added yet.

What you can do there

SectionCovers
PoolsCreate, edit, and delete pools. Name, game, key type, public or private, and the keys-per-member limit, plus the claimed and unclaimed counts for each.
KeysImport a key file into a pool, export the unclaimed remainder, and look up either a single key or everything one member has claimed.
BansBan and unban members, either from one pool or from the whole server, and review who is currently banned.
RolesThe roles required to claim from a pool, and the moderator roles that allow granting from it.
SettingsThe log channel and the low-stock warning channel for the server.

These are the same features the older management commands provided. Those commands are being retired; see the command reference for exactly which ones and what is staying.

Your keys

Any signed-in member can open their keys page, with no server permissions at all. It lists every key they have claimed, grouped by game, with the date it was claimed and a redemption link for Steam keys. It is the same information /keys gives in the bot's DMs, in a form that is easier to copy from.

The page only ever shows that person's own keys. There is no way to see anyone else's from it.
